This guitar is possibly the first modern flat-top made in the 20th century! It has all the modern features of its genre, including X-braced steel string construction, Brazilian rosewood back and sides, 14-fret modern profile neck, compensated saddle, individual turners and a nitrocellulose tortoise pickguard. The top of the instrument is built under tension, a feature pioneered by the Larson Brothers of Chicago. This Nick Lucas set the standard for modern steel string design and aesthetics.
