his 1929 Gibson L-1 guitar was built during one of Gibson's best guitar-making periods. Thanks to its rounded body shape, improved neck angle, ladder bracing, and light construction, the L-1 model is a great-sounding guitar. The L-1 has an authentic bluesy sound associated with legendary Delta blues guitarist Robert Johnson (who was photographed with this model in one of the two existing portraits of him) and his style of music. This guitar has a Cremona brown sunburst finish and was built with a pin-bridge design (preferable over the trapeze-tailpiece model). This guitar's neck features dot inlays, an adjustable truss rod, and 25-inch scale. Very few of these guitars are still in existence today.
