This Fender is named after the glamorous entertainer, Mary Kaye, who played a blonde Stratocaster with gold-hardware. She was the main attraction in the Mary Kaye Trio, trendy during the 1950s and 60s. As a result of her popularity, Fender fashioned the beautiful and rare Mary Kaye Model in 1957.
